Sue Francis Bartley Myers was born in Norfolk, VA August 22, 1930, a southern girl born of southern parents.  She spent her summers by the ocean in Virginia Beach and lived in the city of Norfolk with her husband and three children.  She currently has studios in Norfolk, VA, Bal Harbour, FL and Washington, DC.

She started painting realism in 1975 but quickly fell in love with abstract progressing to canvases around 20 feet in length.  During her career, she has had several one-woman shows and her paintings have joined prestigious collections across the country.  She has also painted on location in Portugal, England, Spain, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She continues to paint to this day, primarily in abstract acrylics and mixed-media, and as she says: "any material is fair game."
